Hundreds Still Without Power in Sonoma County on Monday Afternoon

PG&E was working Monday to get power back on to all its customers by Christmas morning.

At the peak of the storm on Sunday, about 8,000 customers lost power in the North Bay, due to downed trees or trees in the power lines. By Sunday night that number was down to about 4,400 customers.

Many had their electricity back on by Monday afternoon.

But some did not.

PG&E reported about 500 customers in Sonoma County were still without power, as of 2 p.m. Monday.

"The impacted areas are Glen Ellen (8), Guerneville (43), Forestville (53), Healdsburg (6), Occidental (97), Petaluma (120), Santa Rosa (26), Sebastapol (117), Windsor (3) and Monte Rio (31)," J. D. Guidi, a PG&E communications representative told Patch on Tuesday afternoon. "Most outages are weather related. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible with the goal of restoring all customers by late tonight."
