South Gate Municipal Elections To Take Place Today
Residents can go to several polling stations throughout the city to cast their vote.

Local elections for various elected positions within the city South Gate are taking place today. Two of the three races are uncontested, the roster of each can be found below.

The South Gate City Clerks office told Patch that the first round of votes, which would be made of those ballots that were cast by mail, are to be expected to be finished soon after 8:00 p.m.
The final results could come in as early s 9:30 p.m. but it could take a longer.
"It really depends on how long it takes to clean up the polling locations and bring the ballots in," said Carmen Avalos, the South Gate City Clerk.
