Suspect Arrested in Connection to Lynwood Shooting

Two people sustained injuries during the shootout.

 

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) has publicly stated that an arrest has been made in connection to a recent weekend shooting. On Saturday, March 16, two people were injured after two guests at a party, at the 4000 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, allegedly exchanged gunshots during an argument.

“From what were gathering some dispute occurred between the individuals,” said Lieutenant Ernie Chavez of the LASD. “There was some back and forth.”

Both suspects engaged in the alleged dispute are believed to have fired gunshots at each other. Two guests were seriously injured in the crossfire, but are currently in stable condition, according to the LASD.

A suspect was arrested on the evening of the alleged incident.

“One suspect was arrested on the same night and he admitted his involvement,” said Lt. Chavez.

The name of the suspect has not been released and the incident is still under investigation.
