Fair Oaks Construction: Costs and Slated Completion
A look into what went down at last night's meeting.
About 50 people gathered in the of the Monday night to ask questions and receive updates regarding construction along Fair Oaks.
Since the reason for the was inconclusive, according to City staff, the City and American Asphalt have come to a compromise with the costs: They will split the approximate $120,000 expense in half.
The cost of the entire project is 8.55 percent—or $294,000—over what the original contract stated, which will be taken from the City's general fund.

If everything goes as planned, all traffic lanes are slated to be opened by Monday, and the entire project will be completed by Sept. 1.
