Suspect In Pasadena Little League Gear Theft Arrested

"To the person who did this: You didn't just steal equipment, you stole from a community of children," Little League officials said.

SOUTH PASADENA, CA — A man accused of stealing thousands of dollars' worth of baseball gear and other supplies from the Pasadena Southwest Little League has been arrested, according to authorities.

Freddy Solario Jr. of Pasadena was taken into custody on Wednesday after officers served a warrant in connection with burglary, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

Police identified Solario Jr. as the man caught on camera going into the Pasadena Southwest Little League's shed in Allendale Park on Friday, July 25.

Photos and videos posted by the Little League online show a man in a Dodgers hat entering the shed and looking around. The video doesn't show whether the man took anything, but the Little League said they were missing thousands in gear and supplies after the break-in.

"This space is more than just bats and helmets… It’s where memories are made, friendships are built, and dreams take flight," the Little League said in a statement on social media Sunday. "To the person who did this: You didn’t just steal equipment, you stole from a community of children who show up every day with heart, hustle, and hope."
