Alberto Perez: SF Mayor Lurie Honors SSF resident with Safety Award

Newly elected San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie recognises MUNI worker Alberto Perez a South SF resident for 23 years of safe driving.

In a tiny neighbourhood in South San Francisco aka Francisco Terrace, near the world famous See’s Candies, which the Wall Street Journal once dubbed as the “best chocolate in terms of cost”, that is the best chocolate for your money’s worth—- lives Alberto Perez with wife Jhia and two daughters Carize & Arabella.

The neighbors of Francisco Terrace are proud of neighbor Alberto Perez, for having received a Muni Certificate of Appreciation for 23 years of Safe Driving with no accidents. Attending the event at Fogo de Chão restaurant was the newly elected SF Mayor Daniel Lurie to honor Alberto ; the SF Chronicle described Mayor Daniel Lurie as “relentless” in his efforts to bring in a big shift in SF image. Wife Jhia Perez said, she’d been attending the yearly safety awards dinner, none of the past Mayors ever attended the event except for current Mayor Lurie.

I usually tease Alberto as “the Parade Guy” because he was always attending championship parades of the NFL 49’ers, MLB SF giants, NBA Warriors. I might changed it now to Safety Committed Guy. I only knew about this award when I was invited to join his birthday celebration. Alberto as a person is thoughtful, kind, patient, very very funny, and most of all respectful.
