Prosecutors say the years-long scheme involved hundreds of shipments, shell companies, and falsified customs documents tied to Bay Area import firms, with potential multi-year prison sentences if the defendants are convicted.
   

• Man arrested Thursday in San Mateo County during human trafficking operation (mercurynews.com) — South San Francisco police helped lead a countywide human trafficking operation that resulted in a 22-year-old man’s arrest on pandering and weapons allegations, including possession of an unregistered gun with a high-capacity magazine. The multi-agency effort focused on identifying trafficking survivors in San Mateo County and connecting them with support services while pursuing suspected traffickers.
