South SF PD Accepting Applications For Upcoming Citizens Academy

This fall, the South SF PD will host a citizens academy for residents who want to learn more about how police departments function.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO -- The South San Francisco Police Dept. is currently accepting applications for the upcoming SSFPD Citizens' Academy.

The academy is geared toward ordinary residents of the city who are interested in finding out more about how police departments function. Planned topics include: investigations; use of force issues; a tour of the San Mateo County Jail; a SWAT and K-9 demonstration, and more.

The academy will meet from 6:30 pm to 9 pm Thursday evenings from Sept. 12 through Dec. 19.
