Grammy Ceremony TV Ratings Rise Over Last Year
The telecast drew the largest audience for a non-sports Sunday prime-time program of the 2018-19 TV season, Nielsen ratings data show.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- This year's Grammy Awards telecast on CBS drew the largest audience for a non-sports, non-Super Bowl Sunday prime-time program of the 2018-19 television season, according to preliminary figures released by Nielsen on Feb. 11.
Sunday's ceremony from Staples Center averaged 19.9 million viewers, a slight increase from last year when it averaged 19.81 million, the smallest Grammy audience since 2009, according to time-zone-adjusted fast national ratings.
Final national figures are scheduled to be released Tuesday, but aren't expected to change substantially from the preliminary figures.
