Coroner IDs SWR Woman Struck And Killed By Vehicle
Police say the woman was killed as she attempted to cross a local roadway.

MENIFEE (CNS) - The Riverside County coroner's office Sunday released the name of a Menifee woman struck by a vehicle and killed while crossing a roadway. She was Maria Rivera, 46, the county coroner's office said.
The crash was reported about 5:20 p.m. Saturday on Highway 74 at Third Street, Menifee police Sgt. John Burke said.
"Witnesses reported a pedestrian was crossing the roadway and was struck by a vehicle," Burke said.

The woman now identified as Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
The crash was under investigation but "alcohol and/or drug impairment do not appear to be a factor in this collision at this time," Burke said.
