Juneteenth Celebration Planned In Old Town Temecula

TEMECULA, CA — This week, the city of Temecula is celebrating its annual Juneteenth celebration at a new venue in the city, they have announced. This federal holiday and monumental day in history is being celebrated with music, dance, and more, the city announced.
On Thursday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., head to Sam Hicks Monument Park, located at 41970 Moreno Road.
Live performances by John Demps, Full Effect Band, and Djembe Music Group are scheduled, they say.

Each year, the city hosts an event on the federal holiday to commemorate this landmark day and connect with others through song and dance.

The new location is near the Old Town Temecula Museum, and has a grassy area for lawn chairs and blankets during the show.
