This RivCo Restaurant Ranks In Americas Top 100 Eateries, New List Shows
Of the 18 California restaurants named by OpenTable's latest ranking, this Riverside County restaurant is worth the wait for a reservation.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Of the 12 restaurants in Southern California that earned bragging rights as being among the best in America, one is in Riverside County, according to a new ranking from the reservation platform OpenTable.
OpenTable has released its annual list of the Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2025. The restaurant reservation and review site draws on diner reviews and seat demand to determine the top restaurants in every state.
In California, 18 restaurants in cities across the state hold that honor, and in Riverside County, Bar Cecil in Palm Springs received 4.8 stars from 587 reviewers on OpenTable, making the grade for the Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S. list for 2025, according to that publication.

Bar Cecil, located at 1555 S Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs is a bistro-style, casual-dining restaurant that earned its Michelin Plate award in 2022 and is a must-visit special occasion spot. Diners can expect $31 to $50 per plate for its French and American cuisine.
The eatery is beloved in the Palm Springs and Palm Desert area for being a favored hotspot. With its signature blue barstool-lined bar, the ornate lighting, and mid-century modern vibes, "Bar Cecil offers an eclectic, charming dining experience in Palm Springs with "absolutely perfect" service and "delicious" bistro food, according to OpenTable reviewers.

Bar Cecil is known for its smoked pork chops, caramelized onion tart, and expertly crafted cocktails. It provides a "must-go" spot vibe with a "gorgeous" atmosphere. Reservations are often challenging to secure.

Unlike some lists decided by critics, OpenTable’s list of the 2025’s Best 100 Restaurants is based on diner reviews and the percentage of reservations made in advance, among other metrics. Each year, OpenTable looks at insights from diner reviews and demand to determine the top restaurants across the country–the list is arranged in alphabetical order by state and by restaurant name.
