Roripaugh Ranch Housing Expansion Continues In Temecula, Near Murrieta Border
The ongoing projects are near the Murrieta-Temecula border.

TEMECULA, CA — The sprawling housing community of Roripaugh Ranch in Temecula has been slowly underway over the last several decades, and more homes are coming.
During the July 16 Temecula Planning Commission meeting, commissioners will weigh the latest proposed Roripaugh Ranch tracts.
Three tracts — now vacant land — are up for approval. The first is sandwiched between Butterfield Stage and Fiesta Ranch roads, with Roripaugh Valley Road to the north. In total, there would be 104 lots with single-family homes ranging in size from 1,821 to 2,522 square feet, according to city documents.

The next proposed tract is just north of Murrieta Hot Springs Road, near the bend with Butterfield Stage Road, just south of the Murrieta border. The proposal includes 13 lots with detached single-family homes, ranging in size from 3,762 to 4,650 square feet, city documents show.

Finally, a proposed tract at Butterfield Stage and Nicolas roads includes 15 lots with detached single-family homes, ranging in size from 3,839 to 4,957 square feet.

When the Roripaugh Ranch community was first proposed in the late 1990s, it called for 2,058 residential units across 788 acres. Since that time, the project has been built in phases.
The July 16 Temecula Planning Commission meeting begins at 6 p.m. at 41000 Main Street. See the full meeting agenda here.
