Temecula Gears Up For Annual Halloween Fun: Carnival, Bike Ride & Decor Contest

From costumes and candy to decorated homes and a community bike ride, Temecula is hosting festive events for all ages this October.

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula is inviting residents to enjoy several days of of spooky, family-friendly festivities this October, with the return of its Halloween Carnival, Halloween Spooktacular Bike Ride, and Annual Home Decorating Display.

The fun begins Friday, Oct. 24, when the annual Halloween Carnival takes over the Temecula Civic Center (41000 Main Street) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The free event features fang-tastic games, costume contests, trunk-or-treating with first responders, and plenty of candy. Families are encouraged to bring trick-or-treat bags and enjoy an evening of skele-fun, supported by sponsors Big B’s Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air and Raising Cane’s Temecula.

The fall fun continues the next night, Saturday, Oct. 25, with the Halloween Spooktacular Bike Ride, hosted by Bike Temecula Valley. The free ride begins at 6:30 p.m. at Harveston Community Park (28582 Harveston Drive) and is open to riders of all ages and skill levels. Cyclists will wind through the Harveston neighborhood, where Halloween displays will set a festive backdrop. Registration is encouraged and residents can do so at this link under the “Special Events & Activities” tab.

For those who prefer to celebrate at their own pace, the city’s Halloween Home Decorating Display returns with a community map of Temecula’s best-decorated houses. Beginning Monday, Oct. 20, residents can explore "BOO-tiful décor" at participating homes.

Temecula homeowners can register their yards through Sunday, Oct. 19 at this link, with qualifying homes featured on the city’s online Halloween map.
