Thousands Expected This Weekend In Old Town Temecula: What To Know

Santa's Electric Light Parade is rolling through town on Friday, Dec. 6, and lots of road closures are in place.

TEMECULA, CA — You've seen the electronic display boards on Interstate 15 advising that Old Town Front Street will be closed Friday, Dec. 6, in Temecula.

The reason? Santa's Electric Light Parade is rolling through town beginning at 7 p.m. sharp at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Del Rio Road.

Thousands of holiday revelers with their blankets and lawn chairs are expected to attend the annual parade that travels south into Old Town Temecula. Motor vehicle traffic will be heavy around the area, and road closures will be in place.

Here's what to know about the event:

Road Closures and Parade Route

A map of the parade route and road closures is below. The map shows the staging area (in orange), which will close to motor vehicle traffic starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and lasting through midnight Friday, Dec. 6. The remaining road closures (see green and blue) are in effect Friday, Dec. 6.

Parking

Free public parking is available in the Old Town Parking Garage, 6th Street Parking Lot and dirt lots located at Santiago/Ynez Roads. Handicap parking is available on 6th Street.

Participant Information

The parade is full, and the city is no longer accepting applications to participate as an entry. However, viewers can watch the parade for free.
