Woman Killed In Union City When Hit By 2 Cars, Man Injured
Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver.
UNION CITY, CA — Union City police are investigating a pair of related vehicle collisions that killed one person and seriously injured another Tuesday.
Both collisions happened near the intersection of Dyer and Cabello streets at about 8:50 a.m., with the first involving a car that hit a woman walking in the area.
The driver of that car got out of his vehicle to check on the woman he just hit when a second vehicle hit both of them, according to Union City police.
The woman died at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition, police said.
The second driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Neither driver appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
