28th Annual Venice Surf-A-Thon Slated For December

VENICE, CA — Temperatures are dropping and waves are roaring. It's almost time for the 28th Annual Venice Surf-A-Thon at the Venice Fishing Pier in December.

The event is slated for Dec. 11 at the pier off Washington Boulevard and Ocean Front Walk. The earliest competition starts at 7 a.m.

Pre-registration is $30; $35 for beach entry and includes a t-shirt.

Anyone who wants to help sponsor, compete or volunteer can visit the event website venicesurfathon.org.
