Fresh Scottish Fries to Order in Venice (Hold the Kilt)

The one stop chip shop  - The Wee Chippy  - at 1301 Ocean Front Walk on the Venice Boardwalk has received some Fox Small Business News love.

The site profiles Scottish-born Joe Gorrie and his Venice Beach shop, The Wee Chippy, that serves only fries (or chips as they’re called across the pond).

Gorrie told Fox Small Business, “I’m obviously from Scotland, as you can tell, and basically we eat potatoes at every single meal. So people would come over and say, ‘Make me your chips!’ That was my specialty.”

Inspired by a salt-only boutique that opened New York City,  Gorrie said,  “I tried infusing the fries with different salt flavors and the effort paid off.”

The Wee Chippy opened on Venice Beach in February of this year.
