Healing House Den Mother Opens In Venice
Den Mother, a new apothecary and wellness location, opens next door to the Butcher's Daughter on Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

VENICE, CA — Get ready to enter the chill zone. Den Mother, a healing house devoted to healing techniques from ancient cultures, opened this month in Venice.
The location features a variety of services, plus drinks and bites from behind the bar, including organic sake, natural wines, locally brewed kombucha, coffee and tea.
Some of the unique techniques and services include Ayurvedic bodywork, Japanese Acupuncture, Chinese reflexology, Nordic bathing and Asian tea ceremony.

The new Abbot Kinney location is next door to the Butcher's Daughter and designed by Heather Tierney. Tierney leads the design for all of The Butcher’s Daughter restaurants, and with her creative agency Wanderlust, created the vision for the Waterfront Venice; a 10,000 square-foot beach bar and restaurant on the Venice Boardwalk; and Roosterfish; an iconic cocktail bar on Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Services vary at Den Mother. You can opt for a luxurious foot bath, massage, acupuncture, cold plunge or sauna experience.

You can also shop inside the boutique and check out the fragrances, organic products, home items and luxurious clothes and textiles.

The location has a beautiful patio on Abbot Kinney and serves up drinks and a selection of snacks and small plates, including fried chickpeas, edamame raita dip, chilled kombu salad, Scandinavian lox plate, cheese plate, coconut and chia pudding, and Sugarbird scone trio. Anyone can stop by to enjoy the eats and drinks in the front patio area. The back is reserved for people who schedule services.

The relaxing wellness space is set at an original 1930’s craftsman bungalow at 1209 Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
