Kundalini Yoga Leader In Venice Dies

Guru Jagat, who founded RA MA in Venice, died. She was 41.

VENICE, CA — Venice Kundalini yoga teacher and founder of RA MA died after suffering a pulmonary embolism following ankle surgery, LA Mag reports.

Guru Jagat died Aug. 1. She was 41.

Jagat opened RA MA in Venice in 2013 and taught all over the world. The yogi was followed by a number of students and celebrities, including Kelly Rutherford, Kate Hudson and Alicia Keys.

She is survived by her spouse Teg Nam.

The RA MA Institute has created an online memorium for Jagat. They will chant in honor of Jagat through Aug. 17 via livestream and in-person.
