Pedestrian Killed By Stolen Car
Police are looking for the driver of a stolen car who killed in person in the Palms/Mar Vista area in a hit-and-run crash.
A male pedestrian was killed in the Palms/Mar Vista area when he was struck by a stolen car in a hit-and-run accident, police said.
It happened about 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the 9900 block of Venice Boulevard at Dunn Drive, said Officer Ed Griffin of the Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division. The car was stolen from the area served by the LAPD Pacific Station. Investigators were working to determine what led to the hit- and-run accident and to locate the suspect.

The car was described as a maroon Buick four-door with a bicycle rack on it, Griffin said. It could have severe front-end damage from hitting the pedestrian.
The LAPD set up a command post at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Hughes Avenue, he said.
