Shopkeeper Killed For Confronting Tagger

Police are looking for a tagger who shot a shopkeeper after he confronted the man in Southwest LA.

LOS ANGELES, CA —A 42-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting late Monday morning after confronting a tagger outside of his place of business in the southwest Los Angeles area.

The shooting was reported about 10:50 a.m. near Sixth and Slauson avenues, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The victim confronted a tagger and when he turned to return to his shop, he was shot in the upper body, according to LAPD Office Mike Lopez. The man was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name was not immediately available.

The suspect was described as a black man who appeared to be in his mid- 30s. He was 5 feet 5 inches tall, had black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
