Venice Historical Society Presents the Films and Career of Buster Keaton
The Aug. 20 event will screen the film 'The Camerman,' which includes scenes filmed at the Venice Plunge.

On Tues. Aug. 20, the Venice Historical Society will host Elaina Archer who will present the films and Career of Buster Keaton.
The event will take place at 7 p.m. at SPARC (Old Venice Police Department Building), 685 Venice Blvd.
Attendees will get to watch The Cameraman, a famous Keaton film featuring an important aspect of Venice history with a site remembered by many early bathers as their favorite place in Venice – The Venice Plunge. Lifeguards used in the movie were in fact Venice lifeguards.

Film Historian and documentary filmmaker, Elaina Archer will present the program. Entrance for Venice Historical Society is free. $5 for everyone else.
