Sad Shutter: What Happened To Yogurt Castle?

We kept hoping the doors would reopen soon, that maybe a remodel was underway or the owner took a European vacation.

But a Thursday visit to Yogurt Castle on North California Boulevard confirmed our worst fears — the decades-old yogurt shop in the cool building is closed for good.

The interior is stripped. There is no contact information or forwarding address.

Yogurt Castle is gone.

It has been a part of Walnut Creek for so many years. We're hoping to hear from people with memories of the place.
