The Color Of Squirrels: Photo Of The Day

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Patch reader Elizabeth Salen sent in this photo she took Jan. 16 in a wooded area of Rossmoor.

"I love the beautiful color of this squirrel," she wrote in an email to Patch. "I moved here from Brooklyn just days before the first COVID lockdown. In NYC, the squirrels are all grey, so the colorful squirrels here are a real treat."
