Community Arts Foundation Seeking New Board Members

The Walnut Creek-based nonprofit serves students of all ages who want to pursue their passion in the arts at the Center for Community Arts.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A central Contra Costa County nonprofit that has a mission of "Arts For All" is actively seeking new board members.

Walnut Creek-based Community Arts Foundation raises funds for its countywide scholarship program, which serves students of all ages who want to pursue their passion in the arts at the Center for Community Arts. The only requirement is that the recipient lives in Contra Costa County.

Said one parent of a scholarship recipient: "My child has an insatiable curiosity to learn. She is a first-generation Iranian American. As immigrants, we want to give our girl the best of everything, but if it weren't for this scholarship, we wouldn't be able to afford this excellent arts learning opportunity."

"As a board member, you will not only help raise scholarship funds, but you will join with us in bringing arts awareness, advocacy, and arts accessibility to our entire county," said Lee Oller, co-president of CAF. "If you are passionate about the arts and arts education, we invite you to consider joining our Board of Directors."
