Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Walnut Creek House Fire

WALNUT CREEK - Firefighters doused a one-alarm fire at a home in Walnut Creek Saturday afternoon, according to a dispatcher with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

Firefighters responded at 1:21 p.m. to a report of a home in the unit block of Carisa Court that was filled with smoke, according to the dispatcher and fire officials.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 1:36 p.m., the dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported, she said.

Information about the extent of the fire or the cause was not immediately available.
