Las Lomas Soccer Showcase To Pit Top Teams For Good Cause
Ten NorCal boys powers will compete on Saturday, Dec. 11

It figures to be a dazzling day of soccer when 10 elite high school boys teams compete in the Project Play Soccer Showcase of Champions on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Las Lomas High.
The showcase will feature programs that have won a combined over 100 California Interscholastic Federation section titles.
Las Lomas coach Kurt Adkins is hoping to draw a big crowd.

“I don't think there has ever been an event of this caliber for high school soccer, with so many top programs playing on the same day, and in the same location,” Adkins stated.
Among the headliners competing are 13-time NCS champion De La Salle; 2020 NCS Div. I and CIF NorCal Regional champion Montgomery; and 2020 NCS Div. II champion Las Lomas. Another participant, Berkeley won the 2017 and 2019 NCS Div. I championship.

It’s all to raise funds for the nonprofit Project Play Soccer (projectplaysoccer.org), which has a mission to provide tools for playful social integration and enable people to eliminate violence and poverty.
Adkins expects many college coaches from as far away as Oregon to attend.
The Dec. 11 showcase schedule as follows:
11:00 a.m. - Las Lomas (NCS) vs. Mission (SFS)
1:00 p.m. - Berkeley (NCS) vs. Bella Vista (SJS)
3:00 p.m. - Acalanes (NCS) vs. East Union (SJS)
5:00 p.m. - Montgomery (NCS) vs. Bellarmine College Prep (CCS)
7:00 p.m. - De La Salle (NCS) vs. St. Ignatius (CCS).
Admission to attend is $10.
