'Mustard In The Mist': Photo Of The Day

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Patch reader Fran Guidry shared this image titled "Mustard in the Mist."

"We are lucky enough to live just below the Acalanes open space so I've been walking the Briones to Diablo trail through Acalanes for a number of years," Fran wrote in an email to Patch. "This shot is one from my archive, shot back in February 2015."

"I had a wonderful day of shooting with the mist hanging over the oaks and greenery and the mustard just beginning to peek out," Fran recalled. "This shot was taken across the meadow from the East Bay MUD Walnut Creek Water Treatment Plant at the end of Larkey Lane."
