Walnut Creek Credit Union Robbed

A credit union in the Countrywood Shopping Center was robbed on Monday morning.

According to Walnut Creek police, a man walked into the Provident Credit Union, 742 Bancroft Road, about 10:30 a.m.

He demanded cash and quickly left. No weapon was seen and no one was injured.

Police arrived a few minutes later, but the suspect had disappeared.

He's described as a Hispanic in his mid-20s with a medium build and buzzed brown hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, aviator sunglasses, a gray baseball cap, black and white shorts, black socks and black shoes.

The robbery happened just two days after a yogurt shop was held up in the Palos Verdes Mall.
