Walnut Creek PD Welcomes 4 New Officers

The recruits recently graduated from the Contra Costa County Law Enforcement Training Center Police Academy.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Walnut Creek Police Department recently welcomed four new members to the force.

Walnut Creek police recruits Jason Yee, Alina Mendoza, Jarret Tomada and Tamkeen Osmani graduated Friday from the six-month-long Contra Costa County Law Enforcement Training Center Police Academy.

"These four recruits did an outstanding job throughout the academy and we are excited to have them join us in serving our community," the Walnut Creek Police Department said.

After the graduation ceremony, the recruits were sworn in by Walnut Creek police Chief Jamie Knox in a private ceremony surrounded by friends and family.

"We would like to congratulate all of the graduates of the 198th Academy class," Walnut Creek police said. "We celebrate your accomplishment and wish you all success in your law enforcement careers!"
