Walnut Creek Police Make Burglary Arrest
The victim told police she came home and found a burglar in her house.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A man was arrested on suspicion of burglary last week after a woman came home and found him inside her residence, the Walnut Creek Police Department said.
Officers responded Wednesday evening to a report of a burglary in progress in the 3600 block of Perada Drive. The victim told police when she came home and found a stranger in her house, he ran out carrying some of her belongings.
The victim eventually lost sight of the burglar and returned home to speak with an officer.

Meanwhile, more officers from Walnut Creek as well as the Concord Police Department responded and searched the area for the suspect.
A Walnut Creek detective soon located a person matching the suspect's description. The man, a 35-year-old resident of Pittsburg, was determined to be responsible for the burglary, police said.

He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and an outstanding warrant and was booked into the Contra Costa County jail in Martinez.
Police did not release the suspect's name.
