WALNUT CREEK, CA — "Where is everyone?" That's what Patch reader Fran Guidry quipped when he saw these empty Adirondack-style chairs.

"There's something about a row of empty chairs that seems to call out to photographers," Fran wrote in an email to Patch. "Strolling through Larkey Park with my Panasonic GH4 back on March 31, I was surprised to see no kids in the sandbox and no adults in the seats at 8 in the morning. This place is usually buzzing every time I walk by, especially on a mild Sunday morning."

March 31 of this year was Easter Sunday; that may have been why.
