2 Arrested In Connection With Possession Of Meth For Sale In Watsonville
BREAKING: During a vehicle search, investigators allegedly located meth and a loaded firearm, police said.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Two men were arrested Thursday night in Watsonville in connection with possession of methamphetamine for sale and other crimes. Gabriel Penuelas, 38, and Salvador Aguilera, 39, were arrested on suspicion of possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a loaded firearm and on outstanding warrants, according to the Watsonville Police Department.
Penuelas was also arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, police said. On Thursday at 11:13 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Main Street and Freedom Boulevard.
Police said the occupants, identified as Penuelas and Aguilera, had two outstanding warrants and were arrested. During a search of the vehicle, investigators allegedly located meth and a loaded firearm, police said.

Officers then conducted a search at Penuelas' residence and located an additional firearm and more meth, police said. In all, police seized two pounds of meth and two firearms.
