Bicyclist Caught With Cash, Meth After Traffic Stop
Watsonville police say about 4:07 a.m. Saturday, officers stopped a subject riding a bicycle for traffic violations, and searched him.
WATSONVILLE - The early Saturday morning arrest of a bicyclist for traffic violations quickly escalated when officers discovered the man was holding methamphetamine and cash.
Watsonville police say a little after 4:00 a.m. Saturday, Officer R. Delfin stopped a subject riding a bicycle for traffic violations in the area of East Lake Ave. and Blackburn St.
The bicyclist was searched and arrested after officers say they discovered approximately 29.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over $1000 in cash, and plastic commonly used to package drugs for sale.

The suspect’s charges include possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
