MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A man who pleaded guilty to molesting three of his daughters has been sentenced to 30 years and eight months in prison, Monterey County prosecutors said Tuesday. Guadalupe Vasquez Marin, 42, pleaded guilty to five counts of child molestation and one count of exhibiting harmful matter to a minor, according to the district attorney's office.
Vasquez Marin was convicted of molesting his three daughters, who are between 13 and 26, from 1997 through 2014 in the cities of Soledad and Salinas. He must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life,
prosecutors said. Vasquez Marin also asked a cousin of his to take a picture of him naked in 2015. The cousin refused and reported the incident to her mother, who called Soledad police.
It was after the request with the cousin that Vasquez Marin's daughters discussed the matter with each other and discovered that he had molested them at different times, prosecutors said. The children's mother
already had a restraining order against him at the time.
