Ecstasy-Dealing Gang Member Caught With Gun
The bust marks the 14th gun seizure by the county Gang Task Force this year.
A gang member on probation was arrested Friday afternoon in Watsonville after officers discovered Ecstasy, marijuana and a gun in the vehicle he was riding in, the county Gang Task Force reported.
Anibal Gordo-Ruiz, 23, was a passenger in a car when the Gang Task Force routine gang suppression patrol spotted him and recognized him as a gang member on probation and pulled over the vehicle, authorities reported.
The car stop happened around 4:45 p.m. Freedom Boulevard and Marin Avenue.
In addition to the drugs, officers reported finding an unloaded concealed gun and $1,190 cash, presumed profits from drug sales, according to the Gang Task Force.
Gordo-Ruiz was arrested on suspicion of several drug, weapons and gang-related charges.
The county Gang Task Force has seized 14 guns this year.
