Highway 101 Shooter: Bullets Hit Vehicles Near Watsonville

WATSONVILLE, CA — The California Highway Patrol said investigators are looking for the person who shot at two moving vehicles northeast of Watsonville in rural Monterey County early Saturday morning.

Two cars headed north on U.S. Highway 101 shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday were struck by bullets just south of the junction with San Miguel Canyon Road, said CHP Officer Jessica Madueno. A Volvo and a BMW sustained bullet hole damage, but no one was injured, Madueno said.

The CHP had no suspect information as of late Saturday afternoon.
