Police in Watsonville this morning are investigating a shooting after a house was hit several times by gunfire.

WATSONVILLE - Police in Watsonville this morning are investigating a shooting after a house was hit several times by gunfire.
Officers responded this morning at 5:03 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the area of East Beach and Blackburn streets.
Police said multiple callers reported hearing a loud vehicle leaving the scene following the shooting.

Residents at 420 E. Beach St. contacted officers at the scene and indicated multiple bullets hit their house.
There were no reported injuries in the incident.

Police said officers collected evidence of the shooting and spoke to several witnesses.
The motive remains unknown at this time, but the incident is not believed to be gang-related, police said.
