Man Arrested After Gun Pointed At Rite Aid Clerk

The gun was pulled during a robbery, police said.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville Police Department said it arrested a man who pointed a gun at a Rite Aid clerk during a Tuesday morning robbery.

Raymond C. Quinonez, 51, was arrested on suspicion of felony charges of first-degree robbery and illegal possession of ammunition, jail records show. He was arrested on the 500 block of Green Valley Road and booked Wednesday into Santa Cruz County Jail, where he remained as of Thursday morning.

A Santa Cruz County District Attorney's Office investigator quickly located the car used during the robbery and Watsonville police detectives identified Quinonez, police said.
