Man Killed In Watsonville Hit-And-Run Collision

WATSONVILLE, CA — A 24-year-old man died following a hit-and-run collision in Watsonville on Thursday night, according to police.
The collision was reported around 10:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Main Street, where authorities found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle, police said.

The man was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries early Friday morning. His name has not yet been released.
Investigators said witnesses described a white four-door sedan fleeing the scene of the collision and heading toward state Highway 1.
