Motorcyclist Killed In Monterey County Crash ID'd
CHP officials said the cause of this collision is still under investigation.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A 56-year-old San Jose man who died in a motorcycle collision on August 5 near Castroville has been identified as Paul Haney Jr., of San Jose, by the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.
The man was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson west on Molera Road near state Highway 1 behind a 1999 GMC Suburban at about 1:30 p.m. when the motorcyclist hit the SUV while it was switching lanes, according to the
California Highway Patrol.
The six occupants of the GMC were not injured, including the woman driving the vehicle, a male passenger and four children from 3 months old to 7 years old, according to the CHP. CHP officials said drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
