Pedestrian Struck By Car Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Watsonville
BREAKING: Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the early morning collision.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A 64-year-old pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck while crossing a street in Watsonville early this morning. The collision was reported at 5:08 a.m. on Riverside Drive near Grove Street. According to police, the 68-year-old driver didn't see the pedestrian, who was walking south and wasn't in a crosswalk when the collision occurred.
Police said the victim was transported to a local trauma center and then transferred to a Bay Area hospital via helicopter. Neither alcohol nor drugs are considered factors in the collision.
Police encourage anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact the traffic division at (831) 768-3315 to help with their ongoing investigation.
