PG&E To Host Watsonville Meeting On Heels Of Repeated Outages
Repeated power outages in South County spurred officials to push PG&E for a meeting. Find out how to tune in Thursday.
SOUTH SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Watsonville- and Corralitos-area residents are invited to a virtual meeting Thursday afternoon with Pacific Gas & Electric Co. representatives on the heels of repeated recent outages.
Thousands in large swaths of South County and San Lorenzo Valley communities have been in the dark in recent weeks due to surprise outages that were not planned in the interest of minimizing the chance of wildfires sparked by power equipment.
This prompted Santa Cruz County Supervisors Bruce McPherson and Zach Friend to push the utility company to send representatives to a meeting with local residents, the county announced. Residents may ask questions about the outages.
