Police Activities League BBQ Brings in $7K
PAL is one-third of the way to raising the money needed keep the program open.
The Watsonville Police Activities League hosted a BBQ at Muzzio Park on Saturday to raise money for the program and bring the community together.
PAL lost a substantial portion of its funding to city budget cuts earlier this month. The organization, which serves about 500 youth a year, needs to raise about $22,000 to stay open. The weekend BBQ brought in approximately $7,000, PAL reported.
