Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office IDs Bicyclist Killed In Watsonville Crash
BREAKING: The Aptos woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office today identified a bicyclist who was struck and killed in a collision in Watsonville on Monday evening as 56-year-old Jennie Gervasio of Aptos. Sgt. Chris Clark said Gervasio died of multiple blunt force injuries from a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Auto Center Drive.
Watsonville police received a call about the collision around 6:35 p.m. and arrived to find Gervasio lying in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
The cause of the collision is under investigation but neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors, police said.
