Thunderstorms, Wind, Hail Possible In Santa Cruz Co.: NWS
National Weather Service officials said the next storm will move into the area on Wednesday.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Seasonal amounts of rain fell in the latest winter storm Sunday and today in the Bay Area and it will be more of the same Wednesday and Thursday, National Weather Service officials said. At the airports in San Francisco, Oakland and Santa Rosa, a quarter-inch, .34 inches and 1.09 inches fell, respectively, in this latest storm.
San Jose received just .04 inches while Buchanan Field Airport in Concord received a tenth of an inch, meteorologist Brian Mejia said. Rain is forecast for the Bay Area starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.
Steady rain will fall through Wednesday night, with lighter rain forecast for Thursday, according to the weather service. Many places such as San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Concord and Fairfield are expected to get a half of an inch to an inch of rain.

An inch to an inch and a half is forecast for Santa Rosa and San Rafael, while San Jose is expected to get a quarter- to a half-inch. Weather service officials said a slight chance of thunderstorms exists for Thursday, which could bring hail to the area Thursday afternoon.
Winds will increase ahead of the rain Wednesday, with gusts of 25 to 35 mph expected.
