Watsonville City Council Appoints New City Clerk
The Watsonville City Council has appointed Assistant City Clerk Irwin Ivan Ortiz as the new City Clerk.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville City Council has appointed Assistant City Clerk Irwin Ivan Ortiz as the new City Clerk!
Irwin was born and raised in Watsonville and has been a resident of our community his entire life. He attended local public schools, including Cabrillo College where he later transferred to San Jose State University to receive his bachelor’s degree.

As an experienced public servant, Irwin has nearly two decades of work experience, 10 of which he dedicated to working in the City Clerk’s Office. He has worked on numerous projects and helped launch a variety of programs to provide better access to documents for the public.
“I wish to continue providing services to my community and expanding opportunities for residents to engage and collaborate with the City,” said the newly appointed City Clerk.
