Watsonville Gang Member Arrested, Police Say
He was found asleep in a running car at an intersection, according to police.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A gang member and convicted felon went back to county jail over the weekend after officers allegedly found him with multiple guns while driving high, according to Watsonville police.
Police said that on Saturday night, an officer was alerted by a motorist in the area of Tuttle and East Lake avenues regarding a truck that was stopped at a traffic light for an unusually long time.
Samuel Duran, an alleged gang member and convicted felon, was found asleep at the wheel with the vehicle still in drive, according to police.

Duran reportedly failed field sobriety tests, and officers determined he was under the influence of drugs.
Officers also allegedly found firearms inside the truck, including high-capacity magazines.

Duran was booked into jail on suspicion of DUI, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of high-capacity magazines.
