Watsonville Gas Station Robbery Suspects At Large

BREAKING: Police said one of the two suspects was armed with a large knife.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Police in Watsonville are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at a Shell gas station. Officers with the Watsonville Police Department responded at 2:35 a.m. to the Shell gas station at 1830 Freedom Blvd. on a report of an armed robbery. Police said two suspects, one armed with a large knife, entered the store and demanded the employee give them money from the cash register.

The employee gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and the suspects fled the station. The suspects were last seen running on Green Valley Road toward Holohan Road, police said.
The employee was not injured during the robbery.

Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects, but they were not located. The suspects are described as Hispanic men in their early 20s. Both were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
